CITY COURT OF CINCINNATI - The
forty-five
cases that came before the Police Court yesterday morning were disposed
of in the following manner: E. VANER, for permitting a nuisance, was
fined
$10 and costs; J. A. WALDEN, charged with obtaining money by false
pretenses,
was held to October 1st on bail; Charles SMITH and J. W. NORTH,
for
grand larceny was laid over until this morning; Patrick MERRICK, for
assault
and battery, was held to the 27th on bail; Timothy HOLLAND, for the
same
offense, was held to the 28th on bail; Jos. WELMER, for drunkenness,
was
fined $5 and costs; Jane CONNER, for same offence, was dismissed
on payment of costs; James ROBERTS for vagrancy, was fined $50 and sent
over 30 days; Samuel DRYFEAS, for abusing family and Toney HAHNHOUSER,
for disorderly conduct, were dismissed on payment of costs; Anton
BRUCE,
for same offense, was fined $5 and costs; H. JUST for drunkenness
forfeited
his bail; Thomas TOBIN, for disorderly conduct, and Charles FOSTER, for
drunkenness, were fined $5 each and costs; Wm. BRADFORD, for
petit
larceny, was committed to the House of Refuge; Catherine HUGHES,
for same offense, was held to the 28th on bail; Henry KENDERMAN,
for malicious destruction of property and John McCARTY, for assault and
battery, were fined $10 each and costs; Ida WELBERFER, for grand
larceny, was held to the 28th on bail; Wm. BRAND, for vagrancy,
was
held 'o the 27th; Henry BICKEL, and Joseph MOORE, for malicious
shooting,
were held to the 27th in bond of $1,500; John GILLEN, for disorderly
conduct,
was fined $5 and costs.
