SHERRIFF'S PROCLAMATION

THE STATE OF OHIO, HAMILTON COUNTY, SS. – TO THE VOTERS OF HAMILTON COUNTY, OHIO.

    I WM. LONG, Sheriff of Hamilton County, and State of Ohio do hereby notify the qualified electors of said county to assemble in their respective Wards, Townships and Precincts, on the second TUESDAY in the month of October, A.D. 1864, at their usual places of holding elections, and then and there, between the hours of six o'clock A. M. and six o'clock P.M. of said day, proceed as the law directs, to elect
    One Secretary of State,
    One Attorney General.
    One Comptroller of Treasury,
    Three Judges of Supreme Court (1 Full term, 1 Short Vacancy, and 1 Long Vacancy),
    Two Members of Board of Public Works (1 Full Term, and 1 Vacancy),
    Two Representatives in Congress for the First and Second Congressional Districts of Ohio.
    One Prosecuting Attorney,
    One County Auditor,
    One County Recorder,
    One Sheriff,
    One Coroner,
    Two County Commissioners (one for Full Term, and one Vacancy),
    One Director of County Infirmary.
    Also, by command of the Governor of Ohio, one Senator to the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Thomas H. Weasner.
    The Trustees of the various Wards and Townships are also notified that they shall, on said day, select of good, judicious persons, having the qualifications of electors, their apportionment of persons to serve as Jurors, and return a list of the same as directed by law. The apportionment, as ordered by the Court of Common Pleas of Hamilton County, Ohio, is as follows:
