Wounded Man Was Found On Street.
Furniture Manufacturer Had Not Been
Robbed.
August Renesch, the sixty-year-old
furniture
manufacturer of 1556 Baymiller street, who was found Monday night
unconscious
in the gutter at Court and Walnut streets with two scalp wounds and a
possible
fracture of the skull was removed from the hospital Tuesday to his home
in a cab. The family are unable to throw any light on the finding
of the old man and stated that he left home Monday afternoon to make
the
funeral arrangements for a friend. The $228 which he had taken
with
him was still found in his clothes. His condition is serious
owing
to his age.
