scans from newspaper collection of
Ruth Adams-Battle

transcribed by Dorothy Wiland

With the sale last week of the southwest corner of Eighth and Rosemont avenue, Price Hill, Botwin & Tunick, owners of the Western View subdivision, parted with their last holding in that tract, work on which was begun just previous to America's entrance into the World War.

The photograph shows part of the development, looking west on Eighth street, with the residence of George S. Binder, insurance official, in the foreground, he having paid $14,500 for it.

Other owners whose houses are shown are J. E. O'Hara, Mary Crow, Edward J. Ginter, Charles H. Miller, M. E. Bosken, Reuben J. Wood, Henry A. Schmidt, J. A. Mersman, Sigmund Frietsch, James Doyle, John G. Fratz, George G. Meiners, Miss M. Coughlin, Miss A. Braun and Mrs. …R. Lamerding.

All the homes are principally of brick construction.
